What is there to know about me?
I don't really know... It's all kind of out there on the internet anyway. I've been online and blogging for several lifetimes it feels like. In reality, it's really been more like since the mid nineties, which is shortly after the internet became the internet that we know and love today.
So let's start with the basics... Who am I?
I'm Adrian. I'm in my early/mid 30's, I'm a computer programmer by trade. I'm a giant geek. I love photography, I love to write, and I love all things Internet/Technology. Oh yeah, I'm a guy, so there's lot of guy things and guy humor that's going to happen. I can't help it.
I'm also a podcaster and blogger. I started off blogging, but got into podcasting in a big way when it was first starting and my personal blogging kind of went by the wayside. I intend to fix that, here.
For those of you who do not know me personally (and even some of you who do), I am a recovering person. My dad is an addict, and still in his disease, and it kills me to see him like that, but you can't get better if you don't want to, and right now, he's not made the decision to get better. I hope one day that he might. I had succumbed to my disease for quite some time, and didn't want to live, but the birth of my son changed a lot, and I made the decision that I was not going to do to my son what my dad had done to me as an addict, which meant making some changes and getting clean. It took almost a year to finally sustain for more than a few weeks. My sober date is: February 9th, 2006. Since then, I've not had any Tobacco, Alcohol, Prescription Drugs, or Street Drugs. I am very proud that I've managed to keep it together.
I have way more internet presence that what's probably healthy, but no place that I really have a lot of control over that I can exclusively reserve for just me except here, so this website is my website and I'm here to stay.
With all of the above said, I am going to keep a lot of my private life exactly that. Private. However, I am going to write some things on here that might seem a little shocking if you've not read this, so be prepared.
